DESCRIPTION: This mix is a must-have for gardeners in the northwestern US states of Washington, Oregon and California. It contains 25 easy-to-grow annual and perennial favorites that are perfectly suited for the region including California Poppy, Coreopsis, Gloriosa Daisy, Drummond Phlox and many more. The mix features 60% annual and 40% perennial wildflowers. It’s hard working and will produce a gorgeous display of colorful blooms without needing much attention or time.

RESULTS: Expect to receive 100% Non-GMO seeds with zero fillers. This mix is tailored to regions of Washington, Oregon and California and can be successfully planted at various times throughout the growing season. Spring is the most conventional time of the year to sow flower seed, but successful results can be achieved by planting in summer and fall. Before you start, make sure your dedicated area is in full sun. A general rule of thumb when locating your site is “the more sun the better.”

PLANTING: Prepping the soil is simple: remove unwanted grass, weeds and growth, then loosen the soil to create an environment where your seeds will thrive. Now sow! Mix 1 part seed to 5 parts sand and distribute evenly. Lightly compress seeds about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to protect them. Because the Pacific Northwest Wildflower Seed Mix contains both annuals and perennials, you’ll get to see blooms in your first season. The annuals will pop, then the perennials will flourish the following season.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Perennial varieties show limited germination in their first season after planting, but bloom to their full potential in the following growing season. You may see weeds and grasses—these are wildflowers, not roses, so don’t worry. Mow after the blooming and season is over. Remove brush, and get ready for your next batch of blooms.
